Somewhere in the hustle & bustle and overcrowded malls…
Somewhere in the beautifully wrapped presents and perfectly decorated trees…
Somewhere in the parties, plays and traditions…
Somewhere, Something, Someone has been lost…

The true spirit of Christmas…

Our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ – born the tiniest of babes, in the lowliest of mangers – to be the mightiest of Kings. A glorious King who came to bring us the greatest gift of all – the hope of heaven.

This Christmas, as part of our iCare Christmas Gift to the World offering, we’re making sure Jesus is at the top of our Christmas list. As you add His name to your list, remember that in honoring Him, you can give the greatest gift of all – The Gift of Hope.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Within our community, your Christmas Gift to Jesus will give Hope to those who are carrying the message of Christ’s love to our neighbors and friends – churches right here in our area who are struggling, including Atlanta Vineyard Church, who recently lost their Jimmy Carter building.
The economic crisis in our nation is hitting churches hard, with almost every church suffering a loss in revenue because their people are hurting. This is forcing pastors to make the hard choices of cutting ministries to their community, cutting jobs and losing long-standing properties.
It is our great privilege as a member of the body of Christ to remember that when one member of the body suffers, we all suffer alongside them. We need each other, and the people of Atlanta need all of our churches.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Across the globe, your Christmas Gift to Jesus will give Hope to those who are caught up in the horrifying life of sex slavery in Addis Abba, Ethiopia. In partnership with International Crisis Aid, we will be assisting in providing funds to build a church and vocational training center in the heart of the red light district.

This church, proclaiming freedom in Jesus Christ, will reach out to those in the most desperate of conditions, providing them with hope, help and the message of a wonderful Savior who has given it all because He loves them.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thank you for your partnership this Christmas as we commit to putting Jesus at the very top of our lists and bringing Him our very best gift – giving HOPE to our community and our world.
March 23rd, 2009 by Erik Rogers
ph_icare1Recently, we kicked off a new year of our iCare giving campaign. In an inspiring video announcement that noted heartwarming progress, we saw Victory being Jesus’ hands, extending our reach locally and globally, building the God’s kingdom both spiritually and practically in Sierra Leone and Ethiopia, as well as in our immediate community. The presentation highlighted:
  • A 21,000 square foot medical clinic and school that will touch more than 12,000 men, women, and children
  • Ministry to more than 1,000 seriously malnourished babies
  • 40% reduction in death rates in the communities served by 15 wells
  • 55 young girls being housed and educated in a beautiful facility
  • 16 of 34 beautifully furnished transitional apartments for homeless women
Because we care, we give. Since Christmas time of last year, we have generously given nearly $850,000 towards iCare projects! Through iCare we are being Christ to individuals and communities, both locally and abroad, as we are doing in:
Ethiopia
  • Where we are building an orphanage on the outskirts of the capital, Addis Ababa that will have a capacity for 70 children and is on schedule to hold opening ceremonies and begin welcoming needy children in November. And, where we have drilled nine wells already, and have three to six more on the way in the area of Angacha. Tens of thousands now have access to clean water in one of the poorest areas of the world. And also in:
Sierra Leone
  • We are so excited to announce that we have raised more than $680,000 toward our Grafton Village Medical Facility and School. It is now PAID IN FULL and well on its way to completion! We will soon be serving approximately 600 children in 14 classrooms, with 18 teachers and staff; and providing quality medical, dental and ophthalmology services with Christian love, compassion and prayer!
Thank you Victory for your generous giving!
